Built by The Hartford Financial Services Group to market small business products to AARP's over 35 million members, AARPSmallBiz.com featured articles, interactive features, and special promotional deals.

I authored short updates and informational pieces, in addition to writing a biweekly e-mail newsletter that highlighted new features and encouraged members to apply for a free insurance quote. Using my weekly schedule of content, interactive programs and promotional events were put into practice. I also fashioned online polls and moderated the client's discussion forums, both providing insightful information to the client's marketing department.

The client approached me to coordinate selected chats, serving as moderator, online greeter, or the guest's primary point of contact. The popularity and frequency of these events improved AT&T Worldnet's retention rate, maintaining subscribers for longer periods of time.

The client asked me to provide promotional copy for this virtual brochure, additionally highlighting the periodical's branded "Z" icon in all website content.

After many strategic meetings, I contributed an organizational outline that separated information into five primary content areas. I also created guidelines and a growth plan for the client's discussion forums, a unique feature among church websites. Promotional emphasis was added to a forum moderated by the senior pastor.

To build the interactive section of the website, I created contests that prompted participants to share their situational knowledge. Capitalizing on previously established promotion and search engine indexing of the parent company, I worked to position Joomp.com as "A WaterGeek.com Company." In-depth marketing copy was also written for each item, emphasizing a thrilling and extreme sports experience.

I coordinated an overhaul of the client's Web infrastructure and marketing focus. This involved consultation to increase upsell opportunities for the membership-driven business. As a membership upgrade feature, I introduced discussion forums. This resulted in above normal growth of participation rates, supporting a faster return on investment than traditionally seen in other online communities.

SAP AG, a German software firm, produces applications that integrate functions such as distribution, accounting, and human resources into a single product. To help promote the use of their mySAP.com applications, the client annually hosts a global conference called Sapphire.

During this conference, I moderated selected chats with guest experts simultaneously located in North America and Europe. Since these live events were held during European business hours, facilitation from the United States was handled during pre-dawn time periods.

Combining the buying power of over 5,000 Ace Hardware stores with an online home improvement destination, OurHouse.com sold hardware, decorating supplies, and services.

To provide answers to home improvement questions in the client's discussion forum-based advice section, I managed several volunteers and celebrity spokespersons. This included Lou Manfredini, known as "Mr. Fix-It", weekly contributor to NBC's The Today Show. Visitor questions were funneled to these experts in order to provide solutions to the 300-400 new posts received each week.

In addition, I helped the client organize their website for optimal user experience. This strategy work extended into creating a focus for WaterGeek.com's frequent e-mail newsletters, with an emphasis placed on content selection and format.
