AT&T Worldnet

As one of the leading Internet service providers (ISP) in the U.S., AT&T Worldnet Service has received wide recognition for its outstanding service. To provide an additional benefit for members, monthly chat events with featured celebrities were held on ATT.net to enable interaction via a real-time environment.

Live chat moderation

Chat Moderation
The client approached me to moderate selected chats, providing both technical assistance to users and phone-based interaction with the celebrity. During these live events, I served in various roles, including moderator, online greeter, and the guest's primary point of contact. Often I would talk on the phone with the featured personality while I transcribed their responses for the chat room. This enabled me to work directly with many celebrities, including Jonathan Frakes, who starred as Commander William T. Riker in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Improved Retention
After each event, an edited transcript was created and posted for archival purposes on the website. The popularity and frequency of these chats improved AT&T Worldnet's retention rate, maintaining subscribers for longer periods of time.
