With a progressive stance for using technology in their ministry activities, Calvary Memorial Church asked me to be a part of their website redevelopment project. Their non-profit Internet destination supplies general church information, current news and updates, sermon archives, live video streaming, and an active online community.

Organizational Blueprint
With thousands of unorganized content pages, the biggest challenge was implementing a user-friendly way to categorize the information. After many strategic meetings, I contributed an organizational outline that separated material into five primary areas, allowing for shortcuts to popular features such as video media and discussion forums. This strategy created a section devoted entirely to the senior pastor, who was also an accomplished author. While this approach branded his contributions as part of the overall site experience, it also enabled the area to have a unique identity available via a separate website address.

Communication Guidance
In addition, I was tasked with creating guidelines and strategy for the website's existing discussion forums, a unique feature among church websites. An off-topic area was added to balance the sensitivity of other spiritually-oriented topics. Finally, promotional emphasis was added to a forum moderated by the senior pastor.
